Disney’s Newest Hit Characters and Special Offer Star in ‘New Generation Festival’ at Disneyland Paris

 

New entertainment and special offer designed to drive strong Client demand


MARNE-LA-VALLÉE, Paris (Feb. 2010) -- The newest generation of Disney’s characters arrives in dramatic shows and colorful parades this spring at Disneyland Paris, along with a "kids-under-7-free" offer, making it easier than ever to meet Princess Tiana, Buzz Lightyear, Remy, Stitch and Sulley.

The yearlong new generation festival kicks off April 2 and continues through March 2011 with innovative Character experiences in both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. And in summer 2010, the all-new Toy Story Playland premieres at Walt Disney Studios Park with three interactive attractions starring favorites from the blockbuster animated films Toy Story.

When Clients book a package for stays between April 10 and Nov. 8, 2010, their kids under 7 stay free! For each adult package booked, three children stay free at any Disney and Selected & Associated hotels and are admitted free at both Disney Parks.

Disney New Generation Festival Entertainment

Putting the newest stars in the spotlight, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen from Walt Disney Pictures’ The Princess and the Frog join the legendary "Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade" in Disneyland Park, and Ratatouille characters Remy and Emile ride in an all-new car during the "Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars" cavalcade at Walt Disney Studios Park.

Everyone’s all-time favorite Disney characterMickey Mouse also is part of the festivities, dancing and singing daily with the new generation characters in the "Disney Showtime Spectacular" on Central Plaza Stage, while Minnie rides on board the "Disney All Stars Express" at Main Street USA, in Disneyland Park. Also at Walt Disney Studios Park, the stars from Monsters, Inc. will have their own "Monsters Inc. Scream Academy" to meet fans, sign autographs and encourage Clients to scream with Sulley!

Toy Story Playland – Opening Summer 2010

At the new Toy Story Playland at Walt Disney Studios Park, scheduled to open summer 2010, Buzz Lightyear invites Clients into Andy’s "back yard" to be shrunk to the scale of toys on an enormous playground, with plenty of interactive fun and photo opportunities. Toy Story Playland also includes three all-new attractions: Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop simulates a dive from the sky with Andy’s Green Army Men; the family-friendly Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin is a whimsical coaster attraction; and RC Racer features an exhilarating 25-meter half pipe on a U-shaped race circuit.
